The goal is to be able to extract a good espresso from a manual machine.
Who is this training for?
This initiation is designed for coffee enthusiasts, curious individuals or anyone wishing to understand and master the basics of coffee extraction like a true barista.
No prior experience is required: come with your curiosity and leave with solid foundations.
What you will learn
- Understand the fundamentals of specialty coffee: origin, terroir, varieties, treatments.
- Choose the right coffee: how to read a roasting sheet, recognize a good bean.
- Use a manual espresso machine: discovery of professional equipment and basic techniques.
- Master extraction: ratio, grind, tamping, temperature, extraction time.
- Tasting notes: introduction to the flavor wheel and simple sensory analysis.
